Little Time

So I have ten minutes to write as we haven’t had the best luck finding a cyber that is open this afternoon. It’s another saint’s or virgin’s holiday and the city shuts down for religious holidays. Anyways, in short, Angel and Virgilia got married Tuesday and are set to get baptized this Saturday. Should be fantastic. The other branch has a baptism too so we’re uniting our efforts, combining the baptismal service, and we’re going to have a branch missionary activity after. We planned it all out last night with our mission leaders and the four elders from the other branch. We’re going to be sharing testimonies from the returned missionaries of the branches, the youth that are going to be entering the MTC are going to share their testimonies as well, we’re going to practice a few situations where the members can share the gospel, and watch a few video clips from the district (the missionary training DVD’s) and the new videos by the church of the life of Jesus Christ. We just printed a ton of invitations and it’s for that reason that we’re running late today.

In other news, all is well. My toe that I self operated is healing nice and quick, I’m leaning a bit towards the International Relations major and liking the idea of being able to make use of this new language talent that the mission has given me. Honestly, the mission open up minds and doors. To anyone that reads this that is contemplating leaving on the mission, it’s the best life preparatory course that one can choose to take.

Be good, take care of yourselves, and listen to your parents, no matter your age.

Always,

One Response to Little Time

Well, your message was short but sweet. Sounds like you had a good week and things progressed well. I know how satisfying and rewarding this was for all of you. International relations would be an excellent major for you to pursue. I am sure you would be able to use the skills you have learned quite well. You offer such good advice to listen to your parents, no matter what your age. i am so blessed to have both of my parents still at 94 and 95 and am thankful each day that i can start my day by talking to them and also ending my day the same way. Stay well and keep pursuing your goals, Steven. XO Mrs. C
